Cleanup UAE Campaign 2008

Dec. 18th 2008 was an important date on DBB’s 2008 calendar of highlights. In addition to the DBB annual staff party 2008 held on the same day, we also actively participated in the Cleanup UAE Campaign 2008 organized by the Emirates Environmental Group and conducted simultaneously in different sites in the seven emirates. The campaign held on an annual basis since 2002 had more than 20,000 participants talking part this year ranging from the government, private and educational sectors. DBB showed its commitment to this worthy environmental cause by sending a team of six members consisting of Steven Van der Vyver, Koshy Thomas, Vijay Singh, Asif Shaikh and Amit Kumar to take part. In addition, DBB also supplied 100 traffic cones from 2 of our project sites for demarcating cleanup areas during the campaign. Our thanks go to Messrs. Mohd. Hanif (Project Manager – Emirates Road Widening), James Mathew (Project Manager – Tigerwoods Commercial Building) and Yousuf Lubbard (Traffic Management Coordinator – Emirates Road Widening) for their commitment and support in arranging these.
